Welcome
Welcome to our website for our holiday home in Luz Saint Sauveur, Hautes Pyrenees.
Luz is a large village with an historic centre, 20 km south of Lourdes at the junction of two valleys.
Our apartment is in a new development Pyrenees Zenith, five minutes walk from the centre of the village. The apartment is on the South West facing corner of the development with a sunny balcony and has glorious views towards the mountains and down the valley. It can sleep up to seven, there are two twin/double rooms, a bunk room and a sofa bed in the spacious living/dining area. The kitchen is equipped with four ring hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The development has a small swimming pool with sun bathing area.
There are a range of good restaurants in the village, a bowling alley and a discotheque. Food shopping is excellent with local specialities and a weekly market also numerous sports equipment shops and two pharmacies.
Nearest airports are Pau 1Ό hrs and Toulouse 2 Ό hrs.
Skiing
Bareges / La Mongie (largest ski area in the Pyrenees) and Luz Ardiden are both 15 mins drive, Gavarnie/Gedre, a small but very dramatic ski area, is 35 mins away (there are ski busses from the centre of Luz). All three offer a range of slopes for skiers of differing abilities. There are reasonably priced mountain restaurants in all the ski areas and good ski hire shops in Luz St Sauveur. The season lasts from mid December to mid April, often the heaviest snowfalls occur at the beginning and end of the season.
